House reaffirms 'In God We Trust' as official U.S. motto

Yes, the House determined that reaffirming "In God We Trust" as our national motto was the most important issue facing our country today.

If we do indeed trust God, why do we need so many weapons?

Welcome - and thanks

During my year as a Community Columnist for The Huntsville Times I heard from quite a few great folks commenting on my columns. I'd like to continue that conversation in 2011 and make it easier to comment by posting directly to the columns presented.

I have reprinted the columns from the Times and will add new content at least monthly, although the mood usually moves me to write more often. Because the blog format is more flexible, my posts can be of more varied length and subject.

I hope to steer into more dangerous waters this year, touching on politics and religion more often.
